The full experience

Making + Decorating Workshops

£120 per person

This includes two separate workshop days. In your first session, you’ll spend the day making your pottery in the studio. Once your pieces have been dried and bisque fired, you’ll return for a second workshop to decorate and glaze them. After their final firing, your finished pieces will be ready to collect.

You only book your first Saturday online.
We’ll arrange your decorating workshop during your first session, once we know when your pottery will be ready.

One workshop

Making Workshop Only

£70 per person

Spend one workshop day making your own pottery in the studio. I’ll then dry and bisque fire your pieces for you. Once they’re ready, you can collect your pottery in its plain, undecorated bisque-fired finish.

This option does not include a decorating workshop, glazing or a final glaze firing.

How it all works

Your first workshop

A hands-on day of making

Your first session is all about getting hands-on with clay. You’ll have a go at throwing on the potter’s wheel, making a pinch pot and working with slabs to create your own pieces.

If you choose decorating

Come back to finish your work

After your making workshop, I’ll refine your pieces, allow them to dry and then bisque fire them. Once they’re ready, you’ll return to the studio to decorate your work using underglazes and glazes of your choice. Your finished pieces will then be glaze fired at temperatures of up to 1220°C.
